Family Snow Session

I absolutely love photographing a session that is a little bit different and a little bit you. A couple of weeks ago, there was one such session; where we hoofed it to the snow seeking white gorgeousness and magical moments. The "snow" in this case was man made at Corin Forest and usually covered with other people eager to have fun. I was secretly hoping we would find a snow covered area somewhere randomly on the side of the road on our way; but no such luck. In the end it didn't matter and we basically had 3 different shoots in one. The first was a whole lot of marshmallow squidginess. Below is how I have chosen to tell this part of the story as even when I was shooting it, this compilation was what I was wanting to create...

Next we headed to the snow play area. Luckily we were near the end of the day, so most people were finishing up. Great in terms of not having to shoot around people, not so great in that we had less than 10 minutes to shoot! How is this for a beautiful maternity in the snow, shot?

Again I decided to create an artwork indicative of the experience. The whole point of Novel is me telling stories. And what is a story unless you can embellish a little... So here is an embellished version...

And then here is just a gorgeous snap that I just grabbed by chance. I love it. If you look closely you can see it in the image above.

After we were kicked off the snow we had another shoot down in the grasses, throwing stones and running free.
